Residents of Anambra State have continued to praise the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme initiated by the present administration in the state.

The Anambra State Health Insurance Agency was established through Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme Law 2016, with a mandate to provide affordable, equitable and quality health care to Ndi Anambra and residents of the State.

Speaking to the ABS, a teacher Mrs. Uchechukwu Etuke from Nsugbe, who has enrolled in the scheme, described it as unique and innovative, urging Ndi Anambra to key into it for a healthy living.

Mrs. Etuke noted that the scheme will help to reduce the health burden of the masses, as well as provide an avenue for majority of the citizenry to have quality and affordable health care services at minimal or no cost.

Another respondent, Master Chinonso Mgbemena wants the agency to increase the number of their implementing medical facilities across the state, as most people find it difficult to access most implementing medical facilities in their localities.

An Awka based trader, Princess Modesta Oshim from Ebonyi State, called for more awareness and sensitization across Anambra State.
