Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie has been promoted to Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Disability Matters.

Governor Willie Obiano made the pronouncement  during the State Executive council meeting at the Government house, Awka.

The pronouncement by the Governor came afer a special presentation by a Community of Persons with Disabilities, to the Executive council members.

Governor Obiano who explained that Barrister Ezewuzie will be sworn – in during the next Executive council meeting said  that the promotion is with immediate effect. 

The Governor praised the efforts of the office of the Governor on Disability Matters for improving the lives of persons with disabilities, and asked Barrister Ezewuzie to continue to be in the vanguard of promoting the affairs of persons with disabilities.

Making a presentation earlier, Barrister Ezewuzie  thanked  the Governor for running an all-inclusive government, that doesn’t discriminate on the basis of ability or disability.

Barrister Ezewuzie noted that  since inception in 2016, office of the Governor on Disability Matters has made remarkable  achievements  including employment of persons with disabilities into the state’s civil service,  pursing  the passage of  Disability rights law , among others.

He announced that next week, they will travel to flood prone areas to conduct head count on persons with disabilities and teach them what they must in case of flooding, because according to him, they are the worst affected , asking the various ministries to key into the Governor’s efforts, especially as it concerns persons with disabilities.
