Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, has reassured the State Command of
the Federal Road Safety Corps, of its continued partnership in
sensitizing the motoring public on the need to obey traffic rules and
regulations to reduce accidents on the highway.


The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS, Chief
Uche Nworah, gave the assurance when the state Sector Commander,
Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi visited him at the
corporate headquarters of the Station in Awka.


According to Chief Nworah, it is necessary that the Federal Road
Safety Corps steps up its sensitization campaign on the need for the
people to obey traffic rules and regulations, especially during these 
Ember Months.


While describing Road Safety as everybody’s business, Chief Nworah
canvassed for more Radio, Television and outdoor  campaigns by the corps
to ensure that the people are abreast of Road Safety measures.


Earlier, Mr. Kumapayi, who thanked the ABS for its assistance to the
Corps, called for more partnerships between the Command and the
station in a bid to reduce carnage on the highway.


Mr. Kumapayi, who was accompanied on the visit by some officers and
men of the Corps, later presented the latest booklet on Highway Code
to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS, Chief
Nworah.
