Meaningful engagement of youths has been identified as a major weapon in the fight against insecurity.
A pressure group known as United Anambra Youth Assembly revealed this during an ABS radio audience participating program, “Odimma Anambra”.

While speaking during the program in Awka, the United Anambra Youth Assembly Congress Committee Chairman, Chief Ugochukwu Egolum who viewed the youth as a force that can make or destroy any nation stressed that if a greater percentage of the youth population are meaningfully engaged, the chances of reducing crime rate will be increased as those youths will be kept away from social vices capable of destroying the future of a state and that of a nation at large.
He cited Anambra state as a case study where majority of people in service and government political appointees are mostly youths.
Contributing, the Congress Committee Secretary of the group, Honorable Tony Nwakaeze while commending the founder of the group and the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers, Honorable Chinedu Obidigwe, noted that for a state to be the best, all stakeholders should play their part, calling on the elected office holders to focus on issues that will affect the lives of the people they represent in a positive way.

On his part, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on State Internal Revenue Service, Honorable Uchenna Umerie urged Ndi Anambra to ensure prompt payment of their tax which according to him will enable the Government to continue providing more dividend of democracy.
Others who spoke during the program including the APGA State youth leader, Mr. Magnus Eziokwu and the Media Director of United Anambra Youth Assembly, Mr. Domnic Okagbue who commended the Governor for giving Anambra Youths opportunity in governance, called on Ndi Anambra especially the youths to help in protecting public facilities in their communities to ensure sustainability.
