Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala, has urged
Ndi Anambra to key into Anambra State Health Insurance Agency ASHIA,
for effective and affordable Medicare.
The Commissioner who made the call while interacting with newsmen, at
Saint Paul’s Catholic Church, Akpo in Aguata Local Government Area
described the healthcare initiative as one of the legacies of the
Obiano administration.
According to him with twelve thousand naira annually, one can access
affordable and effective health care services through ASHIA.
Dr Okpala added that the State under Governr Obiano is poised to give
Ndi Anambra adequate healthcare saying that every ward in the State
has a health centre with good facilities.
Dr Okpala said that immunization against meningitis will soon commence
across the State as the vaccine had been tested and trusted saying
that Churches, Schools, Market and Community Leaders, parents,
especially Mothers are being sensitized on its importance.
