Governor Willie Obiano has charged affluent individuals in Anambra
State to always support the less privileged.


 He gave the charge during the dedication of Holy Family Catholic
Church Oraukwu in Idemili North Local Government area.
The edifice was built and handed over to the Catholic Church by Sir
Joseph Ukeji, an indigene of the town.


The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke
described Sir Joseph’s humane disposition as worthy of emulation.
He canvassed for the assistance of wealthy individuals in the
development of various communities across the State.


Earlier in a homily, the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Catholic
Archdiocese Most Reverend Dennis Isizoh commended the spirit of
oneness amongst members of the Church, and urged them to renew their
relationship with God in addition to maintaining the sanctity of the
Church as the only place where powers are received through prayers.
The event attracted dignitaries from across the State, including the
Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu,
Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha,
Commissioner for Works, Mr. Marcel Ifejiofor, Senators representing
Anambra South and Central at the National Assembly, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah
and Senator Uche Ekwunife, among others.

official dedication and sanctification of the Church by Bishop Isizoh,
rendition by the choir, among others
