It was a game of luck for staff of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, when eighteen staff won different prizes during the raffle draw held at the establishment.
The event took place at Ebe Ezeudo square within the ABS premises.
The raffle draw, which took lucky deep format, was part of activities marking the 2019 ABS New Yam festival.
The prizes include standing fan, twenty-five kilogrammes of Anambra rice, electric kettles and cash, were donated by friends of the ABS for the purpose.
The star prize which was the standing fan was donated by the late traditional ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Christopher Idigo.
Addressing the staff, the Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of the ABS, Chief Uche Nworah said the gesture was to appreciate the staff for their contribution to the growth of the establishment.
Chief Nworah called on private individuals and corporate organisations to support the gesture by donating items and cash for the next round of the exercise coming up in December.
Some of the staff who won various prices including, Blessing Ijedibia of the News and Current Affairs Department, Sunday Nwankwo of the Camera Unit and Ugonna Onyeama, popularly called BFS of the Camera unit, appreciated the ABS management for introducing the programme pledging to do more for the station.
