The Senior Special Assistant to the Anambra state Governor on Legislative Matters, Chief Edozie Ezeugwa, says the 2020 Appropriation bill of one hundred and thirty seven point one billion naira will facilitate the intended improvement in infrastructure in the state.

House of Assembly Chief Ezeugwa explained that the present administration places high premium on infrastructural development as it is the key to the realization of Governor Willie Obiano’s vision for Anambra State. 

This he noted, is the reason twenty-two point two billion naira was earmarked for construction of roads and bridges in the state.Chief Ezeugwa expressed the hope that the 2020 appropriation bill when implemented, will take many youths off the streets as government made huge allocation to youth empowerment and creative economy and it is determined to achieve the set goal through vocational, agricultural and artisan training programmes among others.

The member representing Aguata One Constituency, Dr. Carter Umeh, noted that Governor Obiano has set a pace by being the first Governor to present his State Appropriation bill to the House of Assembly, stressing that the House Will do a thorough scrutiny of it to meet government’s expectations.The member representing Awka North Constituency, Chief John Nwokoye who said that the 2020 appropriation bill will boost the internally generated revenue of the state, meet the health needs of Ndi Anambra called on youths to take advantage of the huge allocation government has made for their empowerment to achieve self dependence.
