Anambra State Command of the Federal Road safety Corps has warned Motorists to desist from Driving against traffic.


The Sector Commander of the Federal Road safety Corps Mr Andrew Kumapayi who gave the warning while interacting with Newsmen in his office, described Driving against the traffic as a serious offence which the Federal Road Safety Corps will make the offenders to pay stipulated penalties when caught.


Mr Kumapayi urged Motorists to take other Road users into consideration while plying the highways.


He commended the Anambra State Government for its intervention on Roads across the state and charged Motorists not to take advantage of the ongoing rehabilitation of the Amawbia Enugu express Way to drive against traffic.


Mr Kumapayi advised Motorists to make use of the Amawbia bye pass through the express Road instead of driving against traffic.


He announced that Officers and Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps have commenced a twenty-four hour patrol on the highways to ensure that Motorists adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations especially during this Ember Months.
