A solar powered water bore hole is coming the way of Ifunanya
vulnerable group Nawfija, Orumba South local government area.

The group has already received a cheque for over two million naira for the construction of the bore hole, from the Anambra state government.

The cheque was presented to the group by the Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency at Nawfija town hall.

The cash release amounts to the first fifty percent tranche of the over five million naira cost of the project.

Also presented to the group by the agency is another cheque for over one million naira for the construction of forty   open market stores.

Presenting the cheque , the Operations Manager, Anambra state Community and Social Development Agency, Mrs. Uche Nwizugbo, said the projects would be executed simultaneously.

Mrs. Nwizugbo,  who announced that Ifunanya Vulnerable group Nawfija,
is the number eight vulnerable group benefiting from the project, noted that presently the agency has funded thirty communities in the benefiting council areas.

The Transition Committee chairman,  Orumba South local government
area, Barrister Raymond Onyegu who spoke through the Secretary, Local
Government Review Committee, Mrs. Ifeoma Okonkwor, asked the contractor handing the projects to strictly comply with the specifications and deliver on record time. 

Also speaking, the President General, Nawfija Progressive Union, Engineer
Francis Onyebuchi, who pledged their total support for the group, assured that they will provide maximum security and maintenance both during the construction period and on completion.

Receiving the cheques, the chairman, Ifunanya Vulnerable Group, Mr. Wilson Ike, while thanking the agency for coming to their aid, assured judicious use of the funds and timely completion of the projects.
