Privileged Individuals in the State have been urged to invest their wealth in providing qualitative education to children and their wards.


The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke who gave the Charge in s homily during a mass to mark this year’s annual Feast of All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha also asked them to help in training Seminarians to answer their respective calls.


Festus Obierika who covered the event for ABS, reports that Friends, Parents, Benefactors and Alumni of the Seminary, gathered in their hundreds.


Archbishop Okeke said it is an important day in the history of Catholic Church because it is a special day for remembering all those saints who were silenced and have no fixed dates for their celebrations.


The Catholic Prelate further urged the faithful to always remember them in their private prayers as well as celebrate them as other Saints.


Archbishop Okeke, who extolled the parents of the Seminarians for continuous support to the school, advised them to assist in guiding and training the Seminarians whenever they are at home as their first teachers, in order to help them excel both academically and morally. and thanked the management for various outstanding performances recorded so far.


Appreciating the Archbishop and Guests, the Rector, Very Reverend Father Charles Onwumelu, thanked the Archbishop, whom he said is the Proprietor of the Seminary, and applauded him for his regular visits, assistance, care and love to the Seminary while praying God to strengthen him as he goes about discharging his Pastoral duties.


In his opening remarks, the event’s Chairman, Chief Somadina Ifinta said he is delighted to have identified with the Seminary and called on parents to help the young Seminarians to stick to their chosen vocation instead of discouraging them.
