Stakeholders in Anambra State have been urged to support the present drive to entrench culture and continuity of good governance in the State.
Speaking after a meeting of members of Anambra Mandate for Good Governance at Nibo, the Chairman of the Organization, Mr Olisa Aniuno said the APGA administration has set a template and standards no future administration can compromise.

Mr Aniuno noted that Governor Willie Obiano has raised the bar of governance through integrated and sustained interventions in various sectors of the state economy which have accelerated development in all parts of the State and uplifted quality of life of the people.
He made it clear that time has gone when money bags and few individuals will try to mortgage the collective interest and future of the state.
Mr Aniuno explained that the Group is focusing on revolving strong political culture anchored on good governance, accountability and social responsibility in line with global best practices, while consistently promoting and advocating integrity, transparency, tolerance, social and environmental responsibility.

He stated that the group would also proactively engage diverse agencies and other relevant civil society organizations to continuously contribute to the development of the state.
Mr Aniuno disclosed that the Organization would soon embark on enlightenment and advocacy visits to local government areas to sensitize people on ideals of democracy and good governance to encourage active engagement and participation of the masses in the electoral process and governance.
