A Non Governmental Organization, Shepherds Eye Foundation has organized a free medical outreach to women of Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area.
The Event which took place at Agulu Town Hall, attracted women both young and old from all the villages from the Community.
The Shepherds Eye Foundation is a non-governmental Organization that is out to guide, mentor and support female teenagers, especially the less privileged, destitutes and homeless in order to build a great future generation.
They equally help mothers to start up something that will make them self reliant and sufficient as well as spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to them.
Speaking to the ABS, the Director of the Shepherd Eye Foundation, Engineer Mrs. Chinyere Okeke, said that the foundation is in Agulu to give the women free medical care, educate them on how to raise a Godly home and empower them, as their core mandate is to show love to everybody, most especially women and girls.
The Women Leader of Agulu, Mrs. Chinyere Okafor-Okisi, thanked the foundation for showing them love and appealed to the mothers to ensure that they practicalize all they will learn from the exercise for a better family and society.
The wife of the immediate past Commissioner for Health, Anambra State, Mrs. Nkiru Akabuike who is a member of the foundation, delivered lecture on the best ways to nurture children, raise a Godly home among others, and advised mothers to be careful about their character and mode of dressing, as their children are emulating them.
Apart from the free medical services given to the women, the foundation equally distributed food items like bags of rice, garri, milk and crayfish.
