The Football Club of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS has presented the Men’s football trophy it won at the just concluded 2019 NUJ Anambra Media Games to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the establishment, Chief Uche Nworah.
While presenting the trophy to Chief Nworah, on behalf of the group, the team captain Chibuzor Obidike, and Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the ABS Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Ebele Eze, thanked the ABS management for the support and promised that ABS Football Club will always do the organization proud.
Responding, Chief Nworah praised the team for being proud ambassadors of the organization and said he was particularly delighted because it was an improvement on the 2nd position the team took in the 2016 edition of the tournament.
The team later proceeded to the office of the Director News and Current Affairs of the ABS, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze, who described the victory of the team at the tournament as the true definition of the ABS as champion amidst its contemporaries, and commended them on team spirit exhibited throughout the game.
A fan of the ABS Football Club, and an APGA Chieftain Chief Ben Obi who congratulated the team on the victory assured them of his continuous support.
