Ogbolieke Village in Onitsha, Onitsha North Local Government Area, went agog as their four Illustrious Sons from Amuta Family were initiated into the prestigious Agbalanze Society of Onitsha.
The initiation ceremony which took place at Ilo Ogbolieke along Ojiba Road Onitsha, attracted both old and young members of the Society.
Ozo title taking in Onitsha Ado n’ Iduu Ancient kingdom is regarded as sacred and secular due to the processes and stages the title taker must undergo before the final outing called Nmacha n’ozo.

Theses stages include Ibu ego ozo, Ina obibi and Imacha n’ozo which involves both Umuada and Ikporo Ogbe members of that village as well as the extended family of the celebrants, all dressed in the uniform given to them by the celebrants.
The Deputy Director News and Current Affairs Department, Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Egbuna Amuta happens to be among the Four of the new intakes now addressed as Chinweozo Egbuna Amuta, admist cheers and dance by the members of the Agbalanze Society.
Speaking to the ABS immediately after the initiation dance, Chinweozo Amuta who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Grassroot Mobilisation, expressed joy and gratitude to God for the elevation saying that Ozo Onitsha which cuts across all age bracket is the only position that makes any average Onitsha man fulfilled.
Chinweozo Amuta maintained that Ozo Onitsha no longer has fetish aspect rather being a member, one must always stand on the truth at all times and strive to live a purified life.
One of his brothers who was also initiated with him, Nnanyelugo Obanye Amuta stated that Ozo title in Onitsha is exclusively meant for every Onitsha man which is the first step of recognition given an Onitsha man in the community.
The wife of Chief Chinweozo Egbuna Amuta, Mrs. Maureen Amuta in her reaction noted that it is the dream and aspiration of every Onitsha man and his wife to belong to this prestigious institution and urged women to remain humble and respectful to attract more respect for their husbands.
One of their guests from Umudioka in Dunukofia Local Government Area, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwufo while congratulating the Amuta Family on the elevation said he was happy to witness this epoch making event and prayed for more blessings upon the Family.
Highpoint include Egwuozo dance, and other Traditional dance troupes as well as life band.
The ABS family led by the Director of News and Current Affairs Department Mr. Gab Okpalaeze was well represented at the event.
