Anambra State has been predicted to be the top ranking state in Nigeria with high production capacity and among the thirty states in the world to produce resourceful and enterprising   personalities that will offer solutions to global challenges, in fifty years time.


 The traditional ruler of Umunya Igwe Chris  Onyekwuluje made the prediction  while analysing the recent inauguration of the Development Plan Committee for the Anambra Vision 2070, by Governor Obiano.


Igwe Onyekwuluje who is also the Chairman Oyi Local Government Traditional Rulers’  Council, said the present strides of Governor Willie Obiano portrays great potential to the state, as it stands to offer economic benefits to the society at large.


He disclosed that the fifty years development plan would Identify specific sectors the state should focus on, develop measurement frameworks, determine critical milestones and success factors.
According to Igwe Onyekwuluje, Anambra State will experience a paradigm shift from political backwardness and  politics of calumny to  politics of projection, for the collective welfare  of the people and society.
He said the vision 2070 will project Anambra to be the next state for tourism, as he said it will surpass Dubai, making the state, the world best tourist attraction.

On his part, the traditional ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Mike Idigo, said that the composition of the members of the Committee was superb, adding that they are men and women with high intellectual values and proven integrity.
Igwe Idigo maintained that they had in one way or another contributed to the economic growth of the nation.

He observed  that Governor Obiano has commenced training of youths that will change the narrative of the  political history of the state who will in future deploy their wealth of knowledge and fashion out measures to boost socio-economic activities.


The Aguleri monarch commended Governor Obiano for touching every sector simultaneously, especially the Health sector, which he observed had ameliorated the sufferings of Ndi Anambra.


He lauded  the Governor for marching words with actions in the ongoing construction of the access roads to the International Airport City noting that the completion of the airport City will be a landmark achievement that will attract global attention, urging Ndi Anambra not to be distracted by some disgruntled individuals who never meant well for the state, but focus on their support to the Governor for further actualization of his vision .
