The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Uche Okafor, says Governor Willie Obiano has achieved a peaceful environment in the state through adequate security network.


Speaking in his office when a delegation from the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, Abuja paid him a courtesy visit, Honourable Okafor expressed gratitude to the team for their efforts in conflict resolution across the country.


The Speaker, who commended Governor Obiano for his prompt intervention in the Omor and Igbakwu communal crisis as well as the efforts of the state police command, noted that an enduring peace has returned to the two communities as they now live as brothers and sisters.


He assured the team of maximum cooperation of the state House of Assembly as well as Ndi Anambra throughout their exercise in the state.
Earlier, the leader of the team, Mr. Andy Nkemneme, said that they are in the state to look into the Omor Igbakwu communal crisis with a view to finding a lasting solution to the crisis.


He thanked the Speaker for the kind reception accorded them and promised that they would do a thorough job.
