Ndi Anambra has been assured of adequate security during this yuletide.
The assurance was given during a courtesy call on Governor Willie Obiano by Deputy Inspector General of police, Celestine Okoye at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.
Mr Okoye who is the DIG in charge of ICT said he decided to first call on the Governor as the Governor of his State, before proceeding to other States.
DIG Okoye who commended Governor Obiano’s efforts in security of lives and property of ndi Anambra,said that he had a robust discussion with the Governor on how to compliment his efforts in the State, adding that something new will come into the State through his office soon.
Responding, Governor Obiano while welcoming the DIG, explained that he is heading one of the very important areas his administration has vested interest, assuring that ndi Anambra will sleep with their two eyes closed this yuletide.
The State Commissioner of police, CP John Abang who restated his commitment to supporting the Governor, said that the high tech surveillance equipments procured by the present administration has all been deployed, stressing that Anambra is the only State in Africa where such equipments are used.
