All is now set for the maiden edition of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria’s Interdenominational Christmas concert tagged “Maranatha Praise 2019.
The Maranatha Praise night which holds today at the CSN headquarters Durumi Abuja is being organized to thank God for the end of the year.
Briefing the press, the Director of Social Communications, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Reverend Father Chris Anyanwu who doubles as the chairman Media/Publicity, Maranatha Praise 2019, said the programme is an avenue for Christians to prepare themselves spiritually for the coming of Jesus Christ at Christmas.
He stated that the event will feature renowned gospel artistes such as Steve Crown, Buchi, Jude Nnam, Mercy Chinwo, Chioma Jesus among others.
According to him, the essence of the concert is to preach the gospel of Christ through music, to make Christianity more visible, foster ecumenical relationship and reach out to the poor and needy as much as possible during the yuletide.
He disclosed that many dignitaries including Vice President Yomi Osinbajo and the President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, Most Reverend Augustine Akubeze will address the mammoth crowd expected at the praise night.
The publicity chairman also disclosed that a large sum of money has been expended on transportation as free buses have been made available for participants from different parts of Abuja.
