The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Uche Okafor has described the State workforce as one of the best in the country, in view of their comportment and dedication to duty.
In his goodwill message to workers in the state as they join their counterparts across the nation to mark the 2019 Civil Service Day, Mr Okafor expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the civil servants in the state.
The speaker, who commended Governor Willie Obiano for his prompt payment of worker’s salary as well as provision of other incentives and largess to workers in the state, added that the state legislature has continued to reposition the state workforce through effective oversight of various government organs.
He enjoined workers to reciprocate Governor Obiano’s gesture by working harder and shunning acts capable of smearing their image.
The State number one lawmaker used the occasion to felicitate with those teachers and civil servants from the state who won various presidential awards in Abuja recently for doing the state proud.
