The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Bishop Samuel Ezeofor has called on Christians to cling on the coming of Jesus Christ to gain salvation.
Bishop Ezeofor made this call while giving his lesson during the Honeywell Carols and Nine lessons held in Umuchu, Aguata local government area of Anambra State.
In his lesson, drawn from Ephesians chapter two, Bishop Ezeofor reminded Christians that Christ is today coming as a saviour but there shall come a day when He will be sitting as a judge.
Bishop Samuel Ezeofor of Aguata Diocese further noted that everything mankind has is a gift from God urging Christians to utilize their God given talents and gifts to serve God and humanity.
In his Christmas message, the host, Mr Godwin Ezeemo urged Christians to remain faithful and trust him in all things.

On his part, the Anambra NUJ Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Ifesinachi who identified Christmas carols and nine lessons as a preparatory measures for the coming of Jesus Christ commended the sponsor and the organizers of the event for their contributions towards the spread of the gospel of God
Earlier in a welcome address, the organizing committee chairperson, Joy Mbachi had called on participants to ensure that their minds are free from grudges as they prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ.
Festival of carols and nine lessons is a service of Christmas worship, traditionally celebrated on or near Christmas eve where the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah and the birth of Jesus Christ is told in nine short Bible readings or lessons from Genesis, the prophetic books and the gospel, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and Choir anthems.
In attendance were the traditional rulers of some communities within and outside Aguata, the clergy among others.
These among many other songs were the choir anthems and hymns by the Heartbeat Chorale group, Awka, Voce Angelica Chorale, Awka, Emmanuel Anglican Church Choir, Isuofia, among others, that lifted the spirit of the people.
