Police operatives attached to Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, in conjunction with operation Kpochakpu two has arrested four males at a criminal hideout in Oba Idemili South local government area.


According to a release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed the suspects are Chinedu Nwokwu twenty, Chukwudi Ezebilo twenty-seven, Nwafor Uba twenty-four and Ugochukwu Ekechi twenty-one.


The suspects allegedly robbed one Adaobi Obuegbe of her tricycle at Okpoko.


Exhibits recovered from them included, the robbed tricycle, one locally made double barrel pistol, one locally made revolver pistol, two rounds of point nine-mm ammunition, two rounds of expended .9mm ammunition, three cartridges and two expended cartridges.


In a related development, Puff Adder Operatives has nabbed a syndicate, who allegedly kidnapped one Engineer Emeka Chiaghana at Nibo Awka South council area and recovered one AK 47 rifle and two locally made pistols following a fierce gun encounter.


Engineer Emeka Chiaghana was abducted from Nibo by gunmen and taken to unknown destination along with his laptop and other valuables.
Following the incident, Police operatives were on the trail of the syndicate, who perpetrated the act.


While acting on a tip off, the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad in conjunction with Puff-Adder operatives stormed their hideouts in Agulu and following a fierce gun battle arrested the following suspects, who allegedly perpetrated the Act.


They are Stanley Ngala twenty from Obehe village Agulu, Onyedika kanu twenty-nine from Ndikelionwu in Orumba North council area and Chiemelie Obi twenty from Amatutu village Agulu.


The cases are under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
