Christmas is synonymous with fun and merry-making as well as extending love to people around.
Based on this, Hope for All Foundation, a non Governmental Organization demonstrated this to the downtrodden through a Christmas party for children within and around Obosi, Idemili North Council Area.
The event, held at Ogbuechi Obodoefuna’s residence, Little Wood Estate Obosi, attracted children numbering over four hundred who had fun with gifts items.
In her speech, the founder of the NGO, Mrs. Ngozi Obodoefuna said she was moved to organizing the party for the indigent children so as to give them a sense of belonging regretting that a lot of Nigerian kids do not know what it feels to receive gift from Santa Claus during Christmas period as obtainable abroad, and expressed happiness over the huge success recorded.
On her part, one of her sponsors, from the United Kingdom, Lady Jennifer Thompson, who said she has known Mrs, Obodoefuna for the past forty years, added that she was invited to come and witness the party which according to her has been a wonderf ul experience starting from the planning to the final stage.
One of the organizers, Mrs. Uche Nwakobi, who enumerated most of the foundation’s plans for the indigent children, said the Christmas party has been an annual ritual and commended the initiator of the project.
Some parents whose children were at the party Mrs. Chineye Emodi and Mr. Augustine Chikwendu appreciated the organizers saying that the party is getting better every year.
Some of the kids, including Miss Chiamaka and Master Ifeanyi Onwugbolu expressed gratitude to God and same to the organizers for celebrating the children and prayed God to replenish their pockets.
Highpoints were the arrival of Father Christmas, traditional and hip hop dance by the children and drama presentation.
