It was a moment of joy and praises as the founder of Life of Faith Gospel Assembly Ministries, Nkwelle Ezunaka, Bishop Emmanuel Obiora empowered widows, vulnerable, orphans and less privileged persons in commemoration of Christmas.
The program tagged “Christo Feast” was the vision of Bishop Obiora to tell the world the true meaning of Christmas and the best way to celebrated it.
The church auditorium of Life of Faith Gospel Assembly Ministries, Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi council area was filled to capacity as widows and many others besieged the church to benefit from the Christmas largesse.
Speaking at the event, the Anglican Bishop of Mbamili Diocese, Right Reverend Henry Okeke said the program was a holistic mission that touches the soul, family and the down trodden as they needed the word of God and discipleship.
Right Reverend Okeke disclosed that the economy of the country has led many widows astray and advised them to hold unto God charging those in governance to remember the poor as many have died out of hardship.
While declaring the “Christo Feast” open, Bishop Obiora said he was motivated by the love of God to mankind, stating that he has made it compulsory to celebrate “Christo Feast” to actualize the purpose of the birth of Christ.
While advising the church to unite since they serve one God, Bishop Obiora called on government at all levels, affluent and well meaning members of the society to take good care of the poor masses.
On his part, Professor Chigozie Ifeadike, who encouraged the widows to strive to survive amidst difficulties, asked them to fix their eyes on the Lord, who is able to do all things as human beings can disappoint them anytime.
The widows, numbering about three thousand and others, received rice, wrappers, vegetable oil, soaps, detergents and money.
In appreciation, the widows prayed God to bless and strengthen Bishop Obiora saying that they will live and fulfill the purpose of God in their lives.
