The Anambra State Commissioner of police Mr John Abang has re-assured Ndi Anambra of safety and hitch free yuletide.
He gave the assurance during his unscheduled visit to some major road junctions in Onitsha Metropolis.
Among the places visited were Tarzan junction Nkpor, Norine Round about, a stopover at MCC and Upper Iweka and terminates at bridge Head Onitsha.
Speaking at the Bridge Head Onitsha, Mr Abang who noted that the essence of the visit was to get first hand information on the situation of things on the roads and the activities of some Officers and Men of the Police Force on duty called on travelers to always maintain discipline on the highway.
He expressed satisfaction having met free flow of traffic especially at the ever busy Bridge Head Onitsha and commended other security agencies in the State for their collaborative efforts.
The State Police Commissioner noted that the police and other sister agencies in the state will continue to do their best in sustaining the effective security network in the State as the State government has provided them a level playing ground and every needed support.
Present during the visit were heads of all the security agencies in the State, including the Army, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps among others.
