Political economist, High Chief Obiora Okonkwo Ph.D, will on Saturday, December 28, 2019 mount the podium to deliver the lead lecture at the 5th Annual Umunri Colloquium, holding at The Civic Center, Enugwu-Ukwu, in Njikoka local government area of Anambra state.

He will speak on the topic: ‘Ndigbo in Contemporary Nigeria: Social, Cultural, Political and Economic Reflections’.

The colloquium is being jointly organized by the Igu-Aro Commission, the Umunri Colloquium Commission and Enugwu-Ukwu Form. It will be chaired by the President of Anambra State Chapter of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ichie Damian Okeke Ogene (Mbuze Nanka), with Osuofia of Nawfia, Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo, Okpalanriam of Enugwu-Agidi, Igwe Mike Okekeuche and the Regent of Agukwu-Nri, OkpalaNri, Prince Ikenna Onyesoh, as Special Guests of Honour.

The Presidents-General of Enugwu-Ukwu, Nawfia, Enugwu-Agidi and Agukwu-Nri will also grace the colloquium as guests of honour.

Ozonkpu Jude Ekwunife will also be on the podium to speak on ‘Ozo Title and Ozo Society in Igboland: Objectives, Significance and Benefits’.

The Colloquium which begins at 10am is being hosted by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Sir Ralph Obumneme Ekpeh, Okpalanakana Ukabia Nri IV and Eze Enugwu-Ukwu na Igwe Umunri.
