The State Director of the National Orientation Agency, Mr Charles Nworji has called on Christians to learn how to live a Christ-like life as they celebrate Christmas.
In his Christmas Message Mr Nworji reminded the people that the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ is not only a period of winning and dinning, but also a time for stock taking and sober reflection.
He advised the people, especially parents and guardians, to avoid extravagant spendings during the yuletide as the school fees of their children and wards as well as other domestic responsibilities await them early next year.
Mr Nworji, who enjoined Christians not to relent in their prayer for the country and the leaders in order to attract God’s intervention in the affairs of the country, commended Governor Willie Obiano for his achievements in agriculture, education, health, good road network among others calling for its sustenance.
While appealing to government at different levels to initiate and implement programmes that will touch lives, Mr Nworji urged the youths to abstain from drug abuse, kidnappings and other social vices that could mar their future.
