The State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Marcel Ifejiofor, has assured Ndi Anambra that the present administration will increase tempo of infrastructural Development next year.
Mr. Ifejiofor, who gave the assurance in his Christmas message at Aguleri, Anambra East council area, thanked God for making it possible for Ndi Anambra to witness another Christmas which he described as a wonderful time, Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
While advising Christians, especially Ndi Aguleri, Anambra, Nigeria and the entire world to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ anchored on peace, the Commissioner thanked Governor Willie Obiano for making the state conducive for the people to move around without fear of being kidnapped.
The Commissioner, who announced that Governor Obiano led administration is currently working on more than two hundred active cites across the state, debunked the rumor that he has not done enough on road infrastructure because according to him, Anambra State remains the only state in Nigeria with the best road network.
The Traditional Ruler of Nteje, Igwe Roland Odegboin his remarks noted that Christmas is a time of sober reflection and stock taking by Christians calling on the people to always toe the foot prints of Jesus Christ.
He advised the people to report to appropriate agency, contractors who are not executing quality jobs.
In their separate reactions, the chairman, traditional rulers council, Anambra Central Senatorial District and Traditional Ruler of Ukwulu, Igwe Peter Uyanwa, prayed for the life of Governor Obiano, his family and sustenance of peace and love of Christ in Ukwulu while his Umueri counterpart, Igwe Bennett Emeka, called on the people to love one another as Christ loves the World advising the affluent to assist the poor around them as they celebrate the Christmas.
