Nnewi kingdom recently rolled out their drums to celebrate their nonagenarian grand monarch, Igwe Kenneth Orizu, as he celebrates his fifty-sixth year on the throne.
Igwe Kenneth Orizu assumed the throne as the first citizen of Nnewi in 1963 at the age of thirty-eight years.

Nnewi chiefs present at the occasion were, Obis of the four quarters of Nnewi, Titled Chiefs in Nnewi, as well as Chief Robert Amatu, Chief Executive Officer, ROBAN STORES, among other notable sons of Nnewi.

Member representing Nnewi North and South and Ekwusigo constituency in House of Representatives, Honourable Engineer Chris Azubogu, royal fathers and other government officials also graced the occasion.
Many groups and associations visited the monarch, including Nnewi Traders Association, Anaedo Peoples Clubs, Nzukora Nnewi led by its President General, Sir Ugochukwu Udemezue, Otolo Development.


Association led by the President, Chief Boniface Obi, Otolo Nnewi Age Grade Lagos Branch, Nnewi Youth League, Nigeria among others paid homage to the monarch as well as the children, grand children and great grand children also felicitated with him.
