Ebuka Okafor Foundation in its sustained efforts towards touching lives has empowered over three thousand Widows within and outside Nnobi Community.
The event commenced with a Church service at all Saints Church Ifite Ebenesi Nnobi Idemili south Council Area where the widows in a thanksgiving expressed gratitude to God for answering their prayers.
In a sermon during the church service, The President Anglican Evangelists, Diocese On The Niger, Evangelist Joshua Chukwujekwu who spoke extensively on bearing physical and spiritual fruit maintained that having link with Christ will assist one to bear both physical and spiritual fruit and challenged the congregation to to anchor their faith on Christ, pray always, put God first in all they do and learn to give.
In her word of exhortation during a grand reception organised for the widows at Chief Ebuka Okafor’s compound Pastor Mrs Gladis Nwankwo urged the women to accept Christ and lead a holy life for them to make heaven.
Speaking to the ABS in an interview, the Traditional Ruler of Nnobi Igwe Nick Obi said it has been a yearly ritual for Chief Ebuka Okafor putting smiles on the faces of the indigents, adding that it get better every year and advised the affluents in other communities to emulate him.
In their various reactions Chief Victor Okolo from Ukeh, Chief Obiora Okwudili and Sir Louis Nnanyelugo applauded Chief Ebuka Okafor for his philanthropist nature adding that the gesture will give the women sense of belonging.
His mother, Mrs. Ifeoma Okafor stated that her son is carrying out the assignment God gave him and encouraged him not to relent.
The Founder, Ebuka Okafor Foundation, Chief Okafor noted that God has been sustaining the Foundation since its inception in 2012 adding that he was motivated in assisting the less privileged and giving them succor. Free medical check and treatment, distribution of gift items to the women and presentation by the women to Chief Okafor formed the climax of the event.
