The traditional ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka council area, igwe Ralph Ekpeh has predicted peace, breakthrough and success in 2020.

Igwe Ekpeh made the prediction during the Igu Aro 2020 of the Enugwu-Ukwu monarch at the Obu Enugwu-Ukwu na Umu Nri.

The event was well attended by the cabinate chiefs, ozo title holders in the community, Ndi Otu Odu Eze, Ndi Iyom ,government functionaries including tge state Deputy Governor Dr Nkem Okeke as well as guests, friends and well wishers of the community.

Various masquerade displays and cultural dance featured at the event which demonstrated at its peak the rich cultural heritage of Enugwu-Ukwu.

The royal entrance of igwe Ekpeh into the arena charged the atmosphere as the monarch flanked by his cabinate chiefs danced to the ufie music.

Performing the igu aro during the kolanut ritual,igwe Ekpeh said, their will be multiplication both in harvest and child bearing.

Igwe Ekpeh said that their will be less deaths, sickness and hardship this year as God set the year 2020 to be a year of breakthrough for his children.

He appreciated Governor Obiano for constructing many roads in the community including the Enugwu-Ukwu ring road – Nise road which has also been lighted, praying God to bless him the more.

The Enugwu -Ukwu monarch also used the occasion to explain prospects of the community in terms of developmental projects how to better the social life of the community.

Some of the cabinate chiefs who spoke to the ABS including the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS chief Uche Nworah, his wife who is a member of Otu Odu Eze chief Mrs Uche Nworah, and Professor Paschal Oguno prayed for long life and prosperity, as they said that Igu Aro exposes people of the community to what they will expect all through the year.

The President General of the community comrade Bonny Ozonkwoaku, expressed happiness that the event was very successful praying God to bless Ndi Enugwu-Ukwu and their endeavours.

The event featured conferment of chieftaincy titles on some individuals and meritorious award to some distinguished members of the community.
