The Executive Secretary, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr.
Simeon Onyemaehi says over eighty thousand Ndi Anambra have already been enrolled into the scheme.
Dr. Onyemaechi made this known at Azia in Ihiala Local Government Area during the enrolment of over two hundred people into the State Insurance Scheme, sponsored by one of the illustrious Sons of the Community.
Addressing the people of the area, Dr. Onyemaechi who said that the Health Insurance Scheme is an initiative of the Obiano administration, noted that over eighty thousand citizens of the State have already been enrolled into the scheme.
Dr. Onyemaechi explained that two hundred and sixty three health facilities are currently implementing the scheme in Anambra State and urged affluent individuals to register their people into the scheme, as Governor Willie Obiano has committed enough resources into the scheme to make it functional in the state.
An indigene of the Community, Professor Dennis Aribodor who teaches at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, described the State’s health insurance scheme as a welcome development and thanked their benefactor for his magnanimity.
With one thousand naira monthly and twelve thousand naira annually, one can enroll into the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency.
