The member representing Anambra East and West at the Federal House of Representatives, Chief Chinedu Obidigwe has applauded the Chief
Executive Officer of Rotech Energy Services Limited, Chief Austine Oguejiofor, for heeding Governor Willie Obiano’s Aku Luo Uno call to develop an Estate at Nkwelle Ezunaka.

The House of Representatives member gave the commendation shortly after an
assessment visit to the construction site.

In July of 2019, Rotech Energy Services Limited sealed a
major partnership of over four point three billion naira with Anambra
State government to enhance provision of infrastructure to strengthen
the State’s long-term housing deficit.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed by Governor Willie Obiano on
behalf of the State government, is for the firm to develop an initial
twenty five hectares, out of which, the company is already building a
part of the agreed five hundred units of houses. The houses are of
four bedroom duplex with two bedroom boys’ quarters, five bedroom
duplex with two bedroom boys’ quarters, among other amenities.

Chief Obidigwe who expressed satisfaction with the pace of work on the site, noted that one of the fastest ways to develop the State is for
more wealthy individuals to start thinking homewards, especially in
the areas of investment and development.

While calling for support for the developer, Chief Obidigwe asked land
speculators around the area to be mindful of their action or face the
weight of the law if they derail, as the present State administration would not tolerate any form of encroachment.

Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Uchenna Okafor who
accompanied Chief Obidigwe on the visit disclosed that they will soon go
for official oversight function on the premises.

The Speaker added that the security architecture put in place by
Governor Obiano’s administration has created part of the enabling
environment for such investments to flow into the state.

While asking for increased support to deliver the project in record
time, Chief Oguejiofor who assured government and people of the State
that they will deliver the mandate said that the firm had started the
project with grading of the roads leading to the entrance, as well as
fifteen housing units which will be completed by the end of January.

He stressed that they will commence another fifteen housing units and
so on, till the target is achieved.

In his reaction, the Chairman of Ezinkwelle Village, Chief Willie Okafor who commended the
Governor and the former Lands Commissioner for settling the internal
squabbles over ownership of the land, said that the place is
safe for willing investors to come in.
