Ndi Anambra have continued to applaud the present administration’s ability to introduce night life in Awka the state capital and indeed other commercial cities in Anambra state.

An indigene of Nsugbe and an information expert Sir Mike Obiajulu Meze stated this in Awka, while chatting with our correspondent Ngozi Obileri.

According to Sir Mike , looking back eight years ago, there has been a tremendous improvement in economic situation of the capital city in terms of good roads, boost in business and all round development.

He recalled how he used to put on slippers to cross from his place of abode to a nearby junction at Iyiagu area Awka, to board a taxi as he said that most times he had to go to work with extra cloth because of the poor condition of the roads then, all which he said has changed since the Obiano’s administration came on board.

On the availability of electricity, Sir Mike noted that back in 2014, they had light once in a week, but expressed happiness that they now have light every day , though not for twenty four hours.

He commended Governor Obiano for doing so much to improve the aesthetics of the capital city as he said anyone driving through Awka in the night will feel the transformation.

Sir Mike however said there is room for improvement which he said is a gradual process, quoting the popular saying that “Rome was not built in a day”.
