Anambra State Government has continued in its fight against all forms of illegal revenue collection through the arrest of fake emblem and tickets distributors.
The suspects were apprehended by the Anambra state Ministry of Transport in collaboration with Focus Initiative against Touting, FIAT at different locations in Onitsha.

Items found in their possession include money, tickets and emblem of various states including Delta, Lagos, Rivers among others.
Addressing Journalist at Onitsha, the Commissioner for Transport, Dr Christian Madubuko, said the suspects will in no distance time
be arraigned before the court which according to him is in line with the mandate given to the Anti Touting Squad.
He described the act as embarrassing and unlawful and assured that the ministry will speed up initiative in ensuring that all their accomplices will be arrested and brought to book.

Dr Madubuko said that the state is aware of the gladiators behind illegal touting in the State especially Onitsha and warned all involved to desist from their illegal activities or face the consequences of their action.
According to him, the initiative is to encourage investors from all parts of the world to invest in Anambra State, in a free fair atmosphere and tranquility.
One of the suspects, Ifeoma Obiorah from Imo State who said she is a Nurse running a chemist shop at Owerri road narrated how one Chioma contracted her into selling the emblems for her in her absence to make additional income for her business and said that the emblems are sold for four thousand naira and pleaded for mercy from the state government as she was not aware that the said emblems were fake.
