The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Traffic Management Agency, ATMA, Mr Pat Obiefuna has commended Senior officers and staff of the Agency for the roles they played during the Christmas and New year celebrations which ensured free vehicular and human movements and urged them to sustain the gains.
He gave the commendation during a meeting with Senior Officers of the Agency at the Anambra Traffic Management Agency Headquarters at Agu Awka.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, reminded the Senior officers about some of their responsibilities which are not fully put into cognizance saying that the law that established the Agency covered most of these areas often ignored.
He therefore charged them to be alive to their responsibilities.
Mr Obiefuna expressed dismay over the activities of some unscrupulous individuals and group who hide under the umbrella of Anambra Traffic Management Agency to perpetrate illegalities and unwholesome practices warning such people to retrace their steps or face the full weight of the law.
He thanked Governor Willie Obiano for providing the Agency with a new Hilux van saying that such will facilitate their function.
Speaking on behalf of the Senior Officers, the Deputy Commandant in Charge of Operations, Mr Samuel Ezenduka, appreciated the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, for his selfless and tireless efforts in repositioning the agency and called for its sustainability.
