The Anambra State Government has continued with the appeal to residents of the state to protect government and public facilities in their areas.


The Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Venerable Barrister Amaechi Okwuosa made the appeal when he was speaking with our correspondent, David Okpokwasili in Awka.


The ACTDA boss, who embarked on the inspection of clearing of drainages around Amawbia by pass, also used the opportunity to restate the need that people avoid the habit of using flood channels in their vicinities as refuse dumps.


He stated that the Agency embarked on the desilting of the channels to prevent flood challenge in the capital city ahead of the rainy season.


Venerable Okwuosa also revealed that the agency has set up City knights to ensure that government facilities are protected.
