The member representing Aguata two constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr Okechukwu Okoye, has embarked on the inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation of a block of science laboratory at Community Secondary School, Isuofia, Aguata Council Area being built as part of his Constituency Projects.
The project that has reached eighty percent completion at the site was regarded as unhabitable for the students of the school before the rehabilitation work.
While speaking during the inspection, the Lawmaker, Dr. Okoye, said that the project is of great importance to the students, parents and the school management, which motivated his determination to solve the basic needs of the people.
He noted that with his overwhelming victory during the last election, he was challenged to ensure that his constituents never lack basic social amenities and charged the students to protect the project in their locality.
Contributing, the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha represented by the Member representing Aguata Zone in the Post Primary School Service Commission, Lady Ngozi Okeke acknowledged that the gesture is in line with the Ministry’s call for all to invest especially in the education sector in order to complement the efforts of Governor Willie Obiano in ensuring quality education in the State.
In his remarks, the Principal of Community Secondary School Isuofia, Mr. Vincent Onwuegbusi who welcomed all to the school said that before now, the school lacked some of the basic facilities in bringing the students at par with their counterparts, until the huge intervention by the Dr. Okoye.
For the President General of Isuofia, Mr Jude Okeke represented by the Vice President, Mr. Charles Orazulike and the Woman Leader of Community, Mrs. Agatha Nwora who with songs of joy described Dr. Okoye as a politician who is living beyond expectations which is capable of taking him to greater heights and urged others to emulate the lawmaker for more transformation of the area.
