Critical stakeholders within Anambra State and beyond gathered at Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area during an event to mark the seventy-sixth birthday anniversary of the Chairman and Managing Director of Tonimas Nigeria Limited, Dr Anthony Enukeme.


The event was also used to appreciate the good work of the celebrant in the society.


While speaking during the event, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly Mr. Uche Okafor who described Dr Enukeme as a philanthropist per excellence extolled him for using his God given wealth to impact positively on the lives of the people The Speaker used the opportunity to call on Ndi Anambra in the diaspora to emulate Dr Enukeme by bringing part of their investments to the state to help in boosting its Gross Domestic Product.


In a speech a onetime Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Chukwuma Soludo who described Dr Enukeme as a true Igbo Man, thanked him for using his company Tonimas Nigeria limited, to assist the government in reducing the unemployment rate in the country and prayed God to give him more years.


The Member representing Anaocha Two Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Ejike Okechukwu and the Vice chairman of APGA in the Anambra Central, Chief Theophil Nnoli as well as a media Practitioner, Rotarian Abuchi Nwozor described Dr Enukeme as an industrialist and man of many parts, encourage upcoming generation to emulate him.


Responding, the celebrant Dr Enukeme who is the National President of Oil Blenders Association of Nigeria thanked all those that made the event a reality, praying God to reward them abundantly.
Dr Enukeme used the opportunity to call on Ndigbo to unite and speak with one voice in matters affecting them.


The Commissioner for Basic Education in Anambra State, Professor Kate Omenugha, his Lands counterpart Mr. Bonaventure Enemali as well as that of Women’s and Children affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mezue, the Executive Secretary Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, and the Provost Nwafor-Orizu Collage of Education Nsugbe Dr. Ifeyinwa Osegbo, among others attended the ceremony.


The event featured cutting of birthday cake by the celebrant and music performances.
