Governor Willie Obiano has encouraged youths to avail themselves of the numerous opportunities of empowerment in the state to become useful citizens.
The Governor stated this at Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church Abatete, Idemili North Council Area during a special thanksgiving mass organized by the President of United Anambra Youth Assembly Chief Chinedu Obidigwe for the successful National Convention held in Awka recently.
Governor Obiano represented by his Chief Of Staff, Mr Primus Odili, stated that the present administration has contributed enormously to the well being of the youths of the state.
He pointed out that many activities have been rolled out to ensure that youths moved away from the street, for a better living.
The Governor extolled Chief Chinedu Obidigwe for his contribution towards the movement by ensuring that the youths come together in peace and unity to support APGA government.
The President Of UAYA ,Chief Chinedu Obidigwe who is the member representing Anambra East And West at the National Assembly, said it is important for one to show appreciation to God for great things he has done, hence the thanksgiving, adding that they are gathering youths to assist them harness their potential.
Earlier in a homily, the Parish Priest of Saint Dominic Catholic Church, Abatete, Reverend Father John Manafa, said that unexpressed gratitude is an act of wickedness stressing that nothing gladdens God’s heart more than appreciating Him.
Speaking shortly after the mass, the member representing Anambra West in the State House of Assembly, Chief Patrick Udoba described Chief Obidigwe as resourceful and calm, having brought the youths together, to reduce crime.
