Anambra State Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy has announced plans to tour the Twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State with a view to harnessing youths with creative ideas.
To this end, Staff of the Ministry have been charged to redouble efforts towards achieving the Ministry’s set goals, including addressing suicide attempts and youth restiveness.
While addressing Staff of the Ministry during the a general meeting, the Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Honourable Afam Mbanefo said his ministry is set to run a community-driven projects to enable it achieve much in a record time.
Honourable Mbanefo, who disclosed that two thousand, one hundred and nineteen youths have so far registered on the youths website, www.anambrayouths.ng launched in November last year, explained that the statistics generated is necessary in engaging financial institutions for the purpose of attracting grants.
In a remark, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Louisa Ezeanya, enjoined the staff, especially Youth Officers to channel their complaints and suggestions to appropriate authorities to enable the Ministry achieve its target, warning against disservice to the ministry.
Some staff of the ministry, including Mr. Okechukwu Udemezue and Princess Oziora Nwafor-Orizu, who described the meeting as an important step, said they are ready to put in their best to enable the Ministry achieve set goals.
The meeting featured presentations from resource persons on smart jobs and digital skills, among others.
