A Federal High Court sitting in Awka, presided over by Justice Baba Tunde Quadris has adjourned till the fourth of next month the case between Madonna University and some students of the institution.


When the case was mentioned yesterday, the lead prosecuting counsel, Mr Arthur Obi Okafor SAN, pleaded the court for extension of time to enable him look into some issues which the court granted . Speaking shortly after the proceeding, counsel to some of the students, Mr Chinedu Igwe, said the institution and the students are expected to do the needful towards amicable resolution of the matter adding that the students supposed to have been serving their fatherland now, like their mates.


On his part, a parent to one of the students, Mr Vincent Onyejekwe, renewed his appeal to the Madonna University Authorities on the affected students for them to integrate properly in the society.


The students were standing trial for an On Line publication which Madonna University deemed unhealthy to the image of the institution.
