Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state today, Monday, 10th February 2020 unveiled the 2020 Nigeria Police Games Logo; assuring the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu of best sports outing in the state ahead of the 12th biennial police games.
The Governor accompanied by Mr. Tony Oli, Chairman, Anambra State Sports Development Commission and his team did the unveiling as the Host State Governor at Force Headquarters Abuja.
He told news men that the Police games will help boost sports development in the state as the infrastructural upgrade of facilities will help promote sports tourism.
The Governor also said that the police games will introduce some new sports which the people may be seeing played for the first time, and that this can trigger interest amongst the people.
Former Police Public Relations Officer of Anambra Police Command, and Police Games PRO, DSP Nwode Nkeiruka assured the IGP that this year’s games will not only receive the best media sensitization before, during and after the games, but will serve as a unifier between the public and the police.
The IGP thanked the Governor of Anambra state for his strong support and partnership with the police and assured him of continued cooperation in making Anambra the safest state in the Country.
