The Archbishop, Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has challenged women to make a covenant of seeing positive things.


Most Reverend Ibezim gave the challenge in a sermon at the Chapel of Redemption, UNIZIK permanent site Awka, during a Eucharistic service for the rededication and thanksgiving of the Diocesan Mother’s Union.


Archbishop Ibezim, who is also the Bishop of Awka Anglican Diocese, said that God gave every virtuous woman a spiritual eye to see what is happening in and around her family, church and the society for her to put in place measures to arrest them.


He urged them to embrace God, be prayerful, keep their marital vows and all the motherhood virtues to grow spiritually amidst challenges of life.


The President, Mother’s Union, Women’s and Girls’ Guild, Province of the Niger, Mrs. Martha Ibezim thanked God for leading them safely into this year and encouraged them to embark on aggressive evangelism since according to her, the world is not their home.


The Chaplin of the Church, Venerable Benson Udezo and the Chaplain of the Diocesan Women Ministry, Reverend Canon David Kohamara noted the womenfolk of the church were waxing stronger and commended Mrs. Ibezim for her efforts in transforming the Women Ministry . Speaking un-behalf of the University Community, Professor Godson Okafor applauded the Archbishop and his wife for their assistance in seeing to the completion of the church auditorium advising the women to remain dedicated and put their trust in God.


The service featured enrollment of some wives of priests into the Mother’s Union, who promised to be role models to the women under their care.


Series of prayers, rededication and thanksgiving added glamour to the service.
