The Member Representing Njikoka Constituency Two in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Pete Ibida, has visited the fire Incident Scene, at Uruokofia Village, Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area and sympathized with the victims.


The fire incident which the source is yet to be ascertained raised down the entire building which has four shops and three rooms where people reside.


It was a sad experience at Uruokofia Village, Nimo, where property and businesses worth millions of naira were gutted by fire.


A three room residential house of one Mr Dennis Agube Ele, a salon shop and provision store belonging to Mrs Elizabeth Elom and Mr Chizoba Christian were destroyed completely by the fire.


Addressing the victims, Sir Pete who gave them what he referred to as his widow’s mite appealed to other well meaning Ndi Anambra to support the victims.


The victims, including a retired Police Officer, Mr Dennis Agube Ele who occupies three rooms in the affected building with his family, Mrs Elizabeth Elom, a salon shop owner and Mr Chizoba Christian who sells food stuff and provisions while appreciating Sir Pete for his visit solicited help from their loved ones, good spirited individuals and the government as they have lost their means of livelihood.


They commended the Officers and Men of the Anambra State Fire Service, which they admitted did their best to put out the fire but could not save the situation due to timing and volume of the fire.
