Stakeholders have continued to laud the establishment of a division of Appeal Court in Anambra state.
Many of them believe that the court will not only accelerate dispensation of Justice in Anambra state but also in South East.
In his reaction, the Transition Committee Chairman Awka South Local government Council, Mr Leo Nwuba commended Governor Willie Obiano for actualizing the dream twenty-nine years after the creation of the state.
Mr Nwuba said the court will bring justice nearer to the people and drastically reduce the cost and time seeking of justice in courts as well as labour and risks of travelling long distance for court cases.
He noted that Governor Obiano has sustained efforts in developing physical and human infrastructure of the state and has transformed Awka to a befitting capital with legacy projects including street lights, international conference center and other facilities that have eluded the state over the years.
Mr Nwuba urged the people of the state to sustain support for the Governor to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far.
Also speaking, a Lawyer, Barrister Frank Igwe said the court would fast track dispensation of justice and reduce the number of people awaiting trial in various correctional facilities in this area.
