Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, has sealed off a story building within Pauco Pharmaceutical industry along Club Avenue, formally known as Abakaliki Street Awka.
The Agency sealed off the structure during an inspection tour of the area.

Correspondent, Ebele Ezeh, who was part of the entourage reports that Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, is saddled with development control within the Awka Capital Territory.
On arrival at Pauco Pharmaceutical industry, the Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa gave them seven days ultimatum to submit their one story building attachment plan approval for verification or risk demolition of the structure.
Venerable Okwuosa stated that before any structure is
erected or renovated, it is mandatory that the owner should seek for building approval to avoid accidents or building collapse.
He however announced that the agency has put in place mechanisms to making sure that the approvals are gotten within two weeks at government stipulated fees.

The Administration Manager, Pauco Pharmaceutical industry, Mr Livinus Nwamebe, who pleaded guilty of the offence, assured total compliance with the directives given to them by ACTDA.
Mr. Nwamebe called on other defaulters to desist from such practice and obey the rule of law.
