The Alumni Association of University of Ibadan has conferred “The Most Distinguished Alumnus” award on the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu.
According to the Vice-President, University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Awka branch, Chief Timothy Ikedimma, Professor Chukwulobelu, a one-time student of Economics in the University was given the award for his meritorious services to humanity, especially to the people and government of Anambra state.
Joseph Egbeocha reports that presenting the award on behalf of the National President of the Association, Chief Ikedimma urged Professor Chukwulobelu to continue making the university proud by distinguishing himself in his services to the government and Ndi-Anambra, recalling that his achievements as the Commissioner for Economic Planning paved way for his present position as the Secretary to the Anambra State Government.
Receiving the award, Professor Chukwulobelu promised to continually identify with activities of the association, recalling that his years in the university were challenging but rewarding, as they were truly moulded in character and learning.
