Russia says it will suspend entry for citizens of the Peoples Republic of China from tomorrow, as daily infections on the Chinese mainland fell below two thousand for the first time since January.
The death toll from the corona-virus outbreak in mainland China reached at least one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight with seventy-two thousand four hundred and thirty-six infections confirmed.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the COVID-19 outbreak – which began in the Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei province – is not yet out of control, but it has become a very dangerous situation.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths from the corona-virus outbreak in Mainland China rose by one hundred and thirty-six, pushing the nationwide death toll to two thousand and four.
At least one hundred and thirty-two of the fatalities were from Hubei province, the epicentre of the epidemic.
