Anambra State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, has called for a collective vigilance against accidents.
Its Sector Commander Mr Andrew Kumapayi, who made the call in an interview with Newsmen in Awka, described Road safety as a collective responsibility.
He regretted the inability of some Motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations which he said is the major cause of Road accidents.
Mr Kumapayi, maintained that the Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps will deploy more of its Officers and Men across all Roads to ensure sanity on the highways in view of the forthcoming police Games to be hosted by the State.
He commended the effective security network of Governor Willie Obiano in Anambra State, which he said motivated the Nigeria Police to organize its 2020 Games in the State.
Mr Kumapayi who charged Ndi Anambra to show participants of the Police Games the hospitality they were known re-assured the State Citizenry that the Federal Road Safety Corps is committed to reducing carnage on the highways.
According to Mr Kumapayi, the Federal Road safety Corps in Anambra State will establish Road safety club in schools and colleges to ensure that children begins early to assimilate Road Safety measures.
